How to Apply
Once you have found your educational fit with an online program from CSP, we make it simple to apply online. Request more information for a specific program’s requirements.

Associate Degree Admissions Procedure
A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:
- Online Application
- Final and official transcripts from the regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 based on a 4.0 system.
- If you have a attended a MNSCU college or university we also ask that you provide an official accompanying DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet.
- Transfer students with fewer than 20 college credits completed will also need to submit an official high school transcript and essay.
Bachelor’s Degree Admissions Procedure
A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:
- Online Application
- Final and official transcripts from the regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 based on a 4.0 system.
- If you have a attended a MNSCU college or university we also ask that you provide an official accompanying DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet.
- Transfer students with fewer than 20 college credits completed will also need to submit an official high school transcript and essay.
- Students who do not meet initial admissions criteria may be asked to complete the academic success essay and/or provide additional documentation.
- Per the note above, if applicable, submit a typed essay you would like your admissions counselor to consider in the application review process. Minimum of 500 words suggested. Submit as a PDF document through your application portal or email it as an attachment to your Admissions Counselor.
CSP Essay Topic Options (select one):- Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
- The lessons we take from the obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
- Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
- Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one that responds to a different prompt or one of your own design.
Master’s Degree Admissions Procedure
A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:
- Online Application
- Official Transcript from the regionally accredited college or university that granted the student’s undergraduate degree
- Personal statement that includes the following requirements:
- The statement falls between 400 and 1000 words.
- Includes a beginning (introduction), middle (body), and end (summary/conclusion).
- This essay is original (no plagiarism) and reflective of the applicant’s experiences and traits. No outside work (citations and references) is allowed.
- The submission is professional with no spelling, grammar, or sentence structure errors.
- The statement should address the following:
- Describe your employment history and why you are choosing to pursue a graduate degree at this time in your career.
- Describe a personal and/or professional goal that you hope you will fulfill through earning your graduate degree.
- Describe a past or present personal/professional experience that you believe positively influenced your potential to succeed in a graduate program.
- Students who do not meet initial admissions criteria may be asked to complete the academic success essay and/or provide additional documentation.
International Students Admissions Procedure
A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:
- Proof of English Proficiency
- IELTS overall band score of 5.5 or higher (International English Language Testing System)
- Students from Global Language Institute (GLI) Completion of Mastering Level
- Students from Atlanta English Institute (AEI) Completion of Level Seven
- Students from Spring International Language Center (SILC) Completion of Level Six
- Students from English Language School (ELS) Completion of Level 109 AND IELTS test score of 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 59 or completion of Level 112
- TOEFL iBT 59 or 513 PBT
- PTE result of 46 or higher
- iTEP score of 3.5 or higher
- Duolingo language test, score of 50
- MELP End of Term Assessment of 520 or higher
- Completed AmericanLife CEFR C1 Level Certificate
Technology Requirements
Students enrolling at CSP must have access to a computer that meets Concordia’s technology requirements.
