A.A. in General Studies: Admissions Requirements

Submit official transcripts from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 based on a 4.0 system.
  • If you have attended a MNSCU college or university we also ask that you provide an official accompanying DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet. Concordia accepts completed goal areas.
  • If you have less than 20 college credits completed, you will need to submit your official high school transcript as well as any college level courses you have taken.
  • Please describe a life experience (academic or personal) that has shaped you as a person. How will this experience impact your success as a college student at Concordia University, St. Paul?
    • The essay must fall between 400 and 1000 words.
    • Includes a beginning (introduction), middle (body), and end (summary/conclusion).
    • This essay is original (no plagiarism) and reflective of the applicant’s experiences and traits. No outside work (citations and references) is allowed.
    • The submission is professional with no spelling, grammar, or sentence structure errors.
  • Students enrolling at CSP must have access to a computer that meets Concordia’s technology requirements.

International Students

If you are an international graduate student, the following steps help ensure that you have a smooth application process. Contact Concordia’s Office of International Student Services with questions or concerns.

Submit official college transcripts from the institution granting your bachelor’s degree.
Complete an official credit evaluation of degree(s) earned at any non-United States institution. Evaluations must be from approved members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
Complete a Certification of Finances indicating the financial source for the expense of attending Concordia University. This form will be emailed with acknowledgement of application.
Submit Proof of English Proficiency.

Transfer Credit

Concordia University, St. Paul accepts up to 30 credits toward online associate programs. For those eligible, Concordia’s Transfer Plan partnership provides $2,000 in scholarships. If you have questions, contact our transfer staff in the Admissions Office at (855) 641-2525 or onlineinfo@csp.edu.
